This depiction was produced by noted American draftsman C.N. Drie and is one of his earliest works. His distinctive style and use of detailed insights gained him prominence among his contemporaries, and his works are included in the Library of Congress. The Fairgrounds is included in this illustration and is considered the first map to contain its original location.
