This photograph captures one of the most significant moments in modern history as the first flight was achieved by the Wright Brothers in 1903 at Kitty Hawk in North Carolina and was taken with a preset camera that American photographer John T. Daniels triggered. The Wright Brothers' experience with bicycles, along with their shop mechanic Charles Taylor's mechanical skills, allowed them to create their first airplane while other competitors attempted to develop similar machinery.
